Macklemore’s confessional and truly conscious style of rhyme reflects his positive and frank political and cultural perspective – and a style of production that exemplifies that of the North West. This Seattle born MC has proven himself an integral part of the city’s hip hop scene for a minute now, having developed his expression and method as the founding member of Elevated Elements, and progressed to develop his gifted debut album The Language of My World.
With recent shows at Lakefest and Bumbershoot performing with exceptional artists such as Slum Village, Macklemore’s sharp wit and honest delivery sustains the evolution of insightful and intelligent hip hop. In late 2008 MC Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis linked up to create their debut EP entitled âVS.â
